# How can my AI agent generate images without another subscription?

Add image generation to AI agents through Agentik.

By [Agentik](/about.md). Updated: 2026-10-19.

Agentik gives an agent access to supported image-generation operations through its existing connection and prepaid balance. Choose the operation by the asset you need: a new image, a change to an existing product photo or an upscale. Inspect the schema, permitted input format, output size and price before requesting variants.

## Choose generation, editing or upscaling deliberately

Text-to-image starts from an instruction. Editing requires a supported input image and a description of the change. Upscaling serves a different purpose again. A provider’s brand name alone does not identify which operation is available through the selected endpoint.

Provide the intended use, aspect ratio, style and any facts that must remain accurate. For product work, identify which product features may change and which must remain faithful. The agent should not invent packaging text or claim a generated scene is a source photograph.

## Inspect dimensions and output options

Different sizes and quality settings can change the reservation. The catalog’s fal/flux-2-pro record, for example, defines supported image_size values and pricing adjustments. Use the exact tool contract instead of assuming every image has the same cost.

If the task needs transparency, a particular file format or an input asset, confirm that the endpoint supports it. Keep source asset URLs separate from generated output URLs. A returned link still needs review for correct content, dimensions and accessibility.

## Approve one direction before scaling variants

Generate a small first batch after the brief and charge are approved. Review subject fidelity, text, crop and brand constraints before requesting more. Keep the chosen prompt and settings with each file so the team can understand the result.

Generation output is a draft asset until reviewed for the intended use. Publishing, ad submission and legal clearance are separate steps; an agent should report the generated deliverable without implying those downstream steps have occurred.

## What you pay for

Supported paid tools use Agentik's prepaid workspace balance. Inspect the selected tool's pricing units and maximum before approving a run; a reservation can differ from its settled charge. Funding fees, taxes and your model's usage are separate. Current terms are on the Pricing and Billing pages linked below.

## Specify a product image before generation

For a square product concept, define the desired composition and review criteria before paying for variants. This is a creative brief, not an executed result.

Specify a product image before generation

| Brief item | Decision |
| --- | --- |
| Subject | The supplied product and features that must stay accurate. |
| Composition | Square crop, background and intended placement. |
| Technical output | Supported size and format from the selected schema. |
| Review | Product fidelity, legibility, file access and additional variants to approve. |

## A prompt to try

[Connect your agent](/docs/clients.md), then use this prompt with your connected assistant. Keep credentials in the authorized connection.

```text
Prepare an image for [use] featuring [subject or supplied asset]. Discover Agentik generation or editing tools and inspect_tool for the exact schema, output dimensions and pricing adjustments. Ask for missing brand or format requirements.
Propose one initial direction and its maximum charge. After approval, generate the draft, return its file URL and settings, and identify what needs human review before publishing. Quote additional variants separately.
```

## A related workflow

[Product photo ads](/product-photo-ads.md). Your product page for the copy, your category’s longest-running ads as the brief, then new scenes, headlines and a clip.

Example tool-call maximum: at most $1.09.

One product, 20 category ads studied and 5 broken down, 4 scenes, 2 headline images, one 5-second clip.

This catalog-based reservation maximum belongs to the playbook’s inputs, separately from this guide’s worked example. It is not an executed charge. Optional calls, funding fees, taxes and model usage are excluded.

## Questions

### Can my agent edit an existing product image?

Choose a supported editing operation and supply an authorized input asset in its required format. A text-to-image endpoint does not automatically provide editing.

### Does one image price apply to every output size?

Not necessarily. Inspect size, quality and model adjustments in the exact tool’s pricing contract.
