## Which one fits

- Choose OpenRouter if you need one API for 500+ AI models from 80+ providers, with fallbacks between providers, your own provider keys, or payment by card or crypto.
- Choose Agentik if your agent, on any model, needs paid tools and data such as SEO, social media, ad libraries, contacts, images and video, or works on your own ad and analytics accounts.

## Where OpenRouter is the better choice

- **500+ models behind one API.** OpenRouter serves 500+ AI models from 80+ providers through one OpenAI-compatible API, and falls back to other providers when one goes down. Agentik does not route models for your agent’s own reasoning.
- **Your own provider keys.** With your own keys, the first $25,000 of list-price inference a month carries no fee, then 5%. Agentik holds its provider accounts and takes no keys.
- **Card, crypto and more.** OpenRouter takes cards, crypto and other methods on its paid plans. Agentik takes cards only.
- **Data policies for prompts.** Data policies keep prompts on the models and providers you trust, and the Business plan adds EU and US in-region routing.

## Where Agentik is different

- **Paid tools for the agent.** OpenRouter serves the model your agent thinks with, plus server tools such as web search. Agentik serves the paid tools it calls: 2,287 tools from 52 providers, for SEO and search data, social media, ad libraries, contacts, images and video.
- **Your own ad and analytics accounts.** 650 tools read and change your ad accounts, Google Analytics and Search Console, connected once per workspace. Changes are previewed first and applied only when confirmed.
- **Ad research with an analysis of each ad.** Adspy’s 17 tools search Meta and Google ads and analyse each one, from the same balance as every other tool.
- **Jobs ready to run.** 101 playbooks each combine several providers for one job, with the prompt to paste and the most the example can cost.

## Using both

The two work together: OpenRouter for the model your agent thinks with, Agentik for the paid tools and data it calls. Send the model calls to OpenRouter’s API and add Agentik as a remote MCP server or through its REST API; each bills its own usage.

## Questions

### Is Agentik an alternative to OpenRouter?

No, the two do different jobs. OpenRouter gives your agent 500+ AI models through one API. Agentik gives it 2,287 paid tools from 52 providers, such as SEO data, social media, ad libraries and contacts, from one prepaid balance.

### Can I use OpenRouter and Agentik together?

Yes. Send your agent’s model calls to OpenRouter’s OpenAI-compatible API, and connect Agentik as a remote MCP server or through its REST API. Each one bills its own usage.

### How do the two bill?

OpenRouter sells prepaid credits for model usage, with a 5.5% platform fee on Standard and 8% on Business. Agentik bills each tool call at the provider’s price from a prepaid balance, with 0% markup; top-ups carry 5.5%, minimum $0.80.

### Does Agentik run AI models?

Only as tools. Agentik serves fal’s image, video and audio models, billed per call, but it does not route models for your agent’s own reasoning. OpenRouter does that.
