# Agentik from your terminal.

Connect a client, install the agent skill, and discover, inspect and run tools from one command.

## Run it

The CLI needs Node 20 or later. Run it with `npx`, or install it and use the `agentik` command.

## Connect your agent

`connect` prints the setup for one client, the same one as the [connection guides](/docs/clients). `--key` prints the API key setup when the client takes one.

npx @get-agentik/cli connect cursor --key
npx @get-agentik/cli skill --install
```

`skill` prints the [agent skill](/SKILL.md). With `--install` it writes it for Claude Code, and it replaces another skill at that path only with `--force`.

## Discover and inspect

Both are free and need no key.

## Run a tool

`run` and `balance` read the key from `AGENTIK_API_KEY` only, never from a flag, so it stays out of your shell history. Create a key in your [workspace](/dashboard/keys).

```

Reuse the same [idempotency key](/docs/idempotency) on a retry, so a retry never runs twice. Out of credit, the CLI prints the link where a person can add credit.

## Options

- `--json` prints machine-readable output.
- `--api <url>` or `AGENTIK_API_URL` changes the API base URL.
- The exit code is 0 on success, 1 on a failed run or an API error, and 2 on a usage error.
