# Xiaohongshu image note detail

Takes note id and share text, all optional. Served by TikHub.

Purpose:
- Get full detail data of an image note
API Priority:
- ⭐ Xiaohongshu API priority: `App V2 (this)` > `App` > `Web V2` > `Web`
⚠️ Note Type Notice (Important):
- Xiaohongshu notes come in two types: `image notes (normal)` and `video notes (video)`. Make sure to distinguish them when using the APIs.
- This endpoint can fetch data for **both image notes and video notes**.
- However, due to Xiaohongshu's official restriction: when the requested note is a video note, this endpoint **will NOT return the video play URL, only the video cover image**.
- To get the video play URL, use `/get_video_note_detail` (video note endpoint), which can only fetch data of video notes.
Recommended Workflow (when note type is unknown):
- 1. Request this endpoint (image note endpoint) first.
- 2. Check the note type field in the response (e.g. whether `type` is `video`) to determine if it is a video note.
- 3. If it is a video note and you need the video play URL, request `/get_video_note_detail` again with the same note_id to get the video play URL.
⚠️ Billing Notice:
- If a wrong or non-existent note ID is passed (or the share link fails to parse), the endpoint still responds normally, but the `data` field will contain an upstream "service error" message. Such requests **will still be billed as normal**. Please make sure the parameters are valid before calling.

## Execute and retrieve

Inspect again before execution, explain the price and obtain the required authority. Use MCP run_tool or POST /v1/run with this tool ID, valid input and an idempotency key.
