How can my AI agent use tools without separate provider accounts?
Add capabilities without opening an account at each supported provider.
By Agentik · Updated
For supported public-data and media tools, Agentik supplies the upstream provider access. Your agent uses an authorized Agentik connection instead of a different vendor key for every tool. You still need an Agentik workspace for execution, and tools that act on your private accounts need their own consent. This reduces setup while keeping those access boundaries explicit.

Which accounts you still need
Public information and private workspace data require different authorization. Buying an operation through Agentik does not grant access to somebody else's ad account, analytics property or private records.
| Access | What you need |
|---|---|
| Browse and inspect | Public discovery of available tools and contracts. |
| Execute a supported provider tool | An authorized Agentik workspace and usable credit when the operation is paid. |
| Use your private ad or analytics data | A supported account connection approved by someone with the required permissions. |
| Use your assistant | The assistant's own account, plan and connector permissions where required. |
Connect once, then inspect the next capability
Start with the guide for the app you actually use. Add the authenticated MCP connection, complete browser authorization and verify discovery and inspection without executing a provider operation. A saved server URL alone does not prove authenticated access.
Choose the client
Use the Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Codex connection guide for its current setup flow.
Authorize privately
Complete the supported connection flow without pasting credentials into chat.
Choose a real task
Inspect the required services, ask for missing inputs and approve the proposed usage before execution.
Add a task without another vendor signup
A lead-research job can use company search, contact discovery and email verification from one Agentik connection. The agent selects the supported operations rather than asking you to configure each provider.
The catalog is the boundary. If a required endpoint is absent, do not assume a provider's entire API is available. A direct account remains useful for capabilities, plans or contractual requirements outside the supported catalog.
What you pay for
Supported paid tools use Agentik's prepaid workspace balance. Inspect the selected tool's pricing units and maximum before approving a run; a reservation can differ from its settled charge. Funding fees, taxes and your model's usage are separate. Current terms are on the Pricing and Billing pages linked below.
Onboard a new capability from an existing connection
A connected assistant may already search the web and later need email verification. It can discover the supported verification operation and inspect its input contract through the same authenticated Agentik connection. The user supplies authorized task data rather than another vendor secret.
Private analytics access is a different requirement: it needs the relevant account consent. Public tool access does not grant access to an organization’s private records.
| Requirement | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Agentik connection | Authenticated access to the intended workspace. |
| Provider operation | The exact endpoint is served and fits the task. |
| Paid execution | Available credit and approval for the proposed usage. |
| Private data | Required account connection and owner permissions. |
A prompt to try
Connect Claude, then use this prompt with your connected assistant. Keep credentials in the authorized connection.
Give this to your agent
I already connected Agentik and now need [new capability]. Discover a supported tool and inspect_tool for its schema, access mode, price and result handling. Tell me what task inputs are missing and whether private-account consent is required. Prepare the smallest useful test and its maximum charge. Do not ask me to paste provider credentials into chat. Wait for my approval before paid execution.
Your agent should inspect the tools and ask for missing inputs before proposing any paid work.
A related workflow
People who match your buyer, emails found by two providers and verified, and a recent news hook for each company.
50 people in software companies of 20 to 200 employees in France and Germany, emails looked up for all, a second source for 10, every address verified, 25 companies checked in the news.
This catalog-based reservation maximum belongs to the playbook’s inputs, separately from this guide’s worked example. It is not an executed charge. Optional calls, funding fees, taxes and model usage are excluded.

Questions
How can I avoid a new account whenever my agent needs another tool?
Use supported provider tools through the existing Agentik connection. Inspect the catalog for each new capability rather than creating an upstream account automatically.
Does this mean my agent needs no credentials at all?
No. Execution requires authenticated Agentik access. Public discovery is read-only. Private-account tools also require the appropriate account connection.
Can I bring my own provider API keys?
Agentik supplies the access for its supported provider catalog. Do not assume a bring-your-own-provider-key flow; use the published access requirements for the tool.
What if setting up tools takes longer than building my agent?
Begin with one supported connection and a complete playbook. Inspect the actual tools and total scope before running it, then add capabilities from the same catalog as you need them.
